We are extremely happy and proud to announce the arrival of the Quebec contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux among the Intermezzo artists.

A singer with a warm, rich and resonant voice and a generous and fiery personality, she is a regular guest to the most prestigious operatic stages: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, The Royal Opera House of Covent Garden, Opéra National de Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Capitole de Toulouse, La Monnaie in Brussels, Staatsoper in Berlin, Munich and Vienna, Opernhaus of Zurich, Theater an der Wien, Teatro Real in Madrid, Liceu in Barcelona, Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Festival, Chorégies d’Orange, Canadian Opera Company of Toronto, Opéra de Montréal and soon the Metropolitan Opera of New York.

After her much acclaimed debut last summer at the Salzburg Festival, she will sing at les Chorégies d’Orange in Il Trovatore, performing again the part of Azucena  ! Her 2015-2016 season highlights will undoubtedly be her return to la Scala  and to the Royal Opera House of Covent Garden.
