After winning the 1st ECHO Klassik Price in the category “Opera recording – music of the 20th/21st century” last July, the double album of L’Aiglon released by Decca has received the prestigious Diapason d’Or 2016, and is also nominated in the category “Opera” of the International Classical Music Awards.
A great acknowledgement for the recording of this opera by Ibert and Honegger with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal conducted by Kent Nagano, and with Anne-Catherine Gillet in the title-role, Philippe Sly as the Maréchal Marmont, Hélène Guilmette as Thérèse de Lorget, Marie-Nicole Lemieux as Marie-Louise and Julie Boulianne as Fanny Essler !
