Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), she completed her studies under baritone Jerzy Artystz’ s guide. Ms. Auyanet is currently one of the most acclaimed Spanish sopranos of her generation. After being awarded in several international singing competitions, Yolanda Auyanet began her professional career debuting Musetta/La Bohème in Bari being barely 23 years old and, soon afterwards, Gilda/Rigoletto and Violetta/La Traviata at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
Thanks to her outstanding stage presence and ductility of her voice, her repertoire has been enriched with a huge amount of starring roles which have been performed in most of the main European theatres: Carlo Felice in Genoa, Regio in Turin, Massimo in Palermo, Comunale in Bologna, La Fenice in Venice, Regio in Parma, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Sferisterio in Macerata, l’Arena in Verona, Verdi in Pisa, Goldoni in Livorno, l’Opera in Nice, Teather St. Gallen, Konzerthaus in Wien, Maestranza in Seville, etc.
During last seasons, she has featured Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa) in Seville, L’ Elisir d’ Amore (Adina) in Pamplona, La Traviata (Violetta) in Bolonia, Tenerife and Catania, I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Guilietta) in Las Palmas, El Relámpago by Barbieri and Viento es dicha de Amor in Madrid, La Bohème (Mimi) in Savona and Bérgamo, followed by Otello (Desdemona) in Módena, as well as a concert for the Musashino Cultural Foundation in Tokyo, Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi) in Cagliari and Bolonia, and Don Giovanni (Donna Anna) in Tenerife and under the baton of Zubin Mehta at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
She has worked with renowned conductors like Zubin Mehta, Michele Mariotti, Alberto Zedda, Evelino Pidò, Bruno Bartoletti, Alan Curtis, Christopher Franklin, Lü Jia u Ottavio Marino, among others, as well as with stage directors like como Franco Zeffirelli, Graham Vick, Ripa di Meana, Nuria Espert, Daniele Abbado, Jerome Savary or Damiano Michieletto.
Her last performances include both Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi) and Guillaume Tell (Mathilde) in Bologna, Don Giovanni (Donna Anna) in Seville, Módena, Piacenza and Lucca, I due Foscari (Lucrezia), in St. Gallen and Otello (Desdemona) in Las Palmas and Jerez, Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Pesaro, Piacenza, Parme and Bergame, Maria Stuarda (rôle-titre) in Tenerife, Trovatore (Leonora) in Toulon and Tenerife, Norma (title-role) at Saint-Gallen, Palermo and Tenerife, , Roberto Devereux (Elisabetta) in Tenerife under the baton of Evelino Pidò, La Clemenza di Tito (Vitellia) in Valladolid and at the Teatro Real, Anna Bolena (rôle-titre) in Parme, Don Carlo (Elisabetta) in Marseille, Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira) in Nancy and Luxembourg, La Bohème (Mimi) in Madrid…
